Gadsden Regional Medical Center is dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives after illness and injury. The rehabilitation team includes knowledgeable, caring professionals who are dedicated to providing quality care, information and support.
We offer multidisciplinary rehabilitation services. Clinical teams are available at the acute care hospital campus, the outpatient facility and The Rehab Center to accommodate patients needing individual or multiple therapies in one visit. Available treatment options include:
- Physical therapy for orthopedic and neurological conditions
- Arthritis, back and neck care
- Dry needling therapy
- Spinal and extremity joint mobilization
- Evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction
- Hand, wrist and foot therapy
- Post-surgical rehabilitation
- Work conditioning/hardening
- Neurological rehabilitation for brain injuries or strokes
- Balance, gait training and fall prevention
- Vestibular rehabilitation for vertigo and related disorders
- Movement therapy for Parkinson’s disease
- Speech, language and swallowing therapy
- Treatment for adult and pediatric dysphagia
- Modified barium swallow studies
- Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) swallowing therapy
- Treatment for adult and pediatric feeding disorders
- Treatment for adult and pediatric language disorders
- Aphasia, apraxia and dysarthria speech therapy
