Current Visitor Guidelines
Effective March 30, 2023
Gadsden Regional Medical Center will allow the following visitors in these areas:
- Procedural Areas (Cath Lab, Day Surgery and Imaging): two visitors.
- Emergency Room: two visitors; COVID patients in the emergency room can have one visitor in a 24-hour period.
- Intensive Care Units:
- 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. for thirty minutes
- Outside of the above times, visitors are welcome to use the ICU waiting area on the first floor of the Centennial Tower.
- Med/Surg Floors: two visitors; COVID Med/Surg: one visitor in a 24-hour period.
- Women & Children's:
- Labor & Delivery - three visitors of the patient's choice in delivery room.
- Postpartum - three visitors that may change throughout the day.
- Siblings are the only children under 12 years of age that may visit.
- COVID OB - one visitor for the duration of the patient stay.
- Behavioral Health: no visitation allowed.
Any visitor must meet the screening criteria prior to entry and follow all outlined guidelines. Further restrictions or allowances may exist depending on the circumstance. No children ages 12 or younger will be allowed above the 2nd floor, except in special circumstances.
