Reed Honored by GRMC As Employee of Year

Gadsden, Ala. – Kristie Reed, RN, was named 2017 Employee of the Year at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

“It is an honor to receive this award,” Reed said. “There are so many nurses here at Gadsden Regional that deserve this award more than I do.”

Reed says that is humbling to be noticed by her peers for this award and credits a great team of nurses lifting each other to make the hospital a great place to work.

Reed, a charge nurse on one of the medical/surg patient floors, was also honored earlier in 2017 as Employee of the Month.

“Kristie is exceptional in everything that she does,” a nomination for Reed stated. “She goes above and beyond in training all new staff members, which has been instrumental in providing quality care to our patients on 7-South.”

Reed has been with GRMC since 2007. She and her husband, Will, reside in Hokes Bluff with their son, Logan.
