Harris, Griffin named Managers of the Year

Gadsden, Ala. – GRMC CEO Corey Ewing has announced the 2017 Clinical and NonClinical Managers of the Year at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Nursing Director Mashai Harris, BSN, was selected as GRMC’s Clinical Manager of the Year for 2017.
Harris, who joined the GRMC staff in 2009, is the director of the 9th Floor as well as the hospital’s Rapid Admissions Unit. Mrs. Harris also provides oversight to GRMC’s dialysis services.
“Mashai is an outstanding Department Director,” Ewing said. “She leads her team with purpose and compassion and always goes above and beyond to make sure that her patients are receiving the best possible care and that her staff is taken care of.”
Ewing added that Harris is very dedicated to her job, demonstrates a character of strength and of someone who is very well-disciplined, trustworthy and honest.
Harris and her husband, Kevin, reside in Steele with their children.
Wardrick Griffin, Assistant Chief Practice Officer for the hospital began his career with GRMC in 2015.
Griffin is responsible for day to day operations of 16 outpatient locations including revenue cycle, expense management, EMR usage, employee engagement, patient experience and physician satisfaction.
Griffin has served on the United Way Campaign Committee, Leadership Etowah Planning Committee, and is a Kidney Association Board Member.
“Wardrick is a strong leader who is eager to learn, quick to lend a hand, and always looking for ways to improve the organization,” Ewing said. “He is an integral part of our clinic leadership team.”
Griffin resides in Rainbow City wife his wife, April, and their two children.
“Gadsden Regional is a better place, having leaders like Mashai and Wardrick steer our teams in the right direction,” Ewing added.
