GRMC Volunteers Now Accepting Applications for Scholarships for Local Students

Gadsden, Ala. – The Gadsden Regional Medical Center Volunteers are now accepting applications for their annual scholarship. This scholarship was established to benefit students in our community who are pursuing degrees in the medical field.
The scholarships will be awarded to four students for the amount of $500 per semester (fall/spring) for the 2019-2020 academic year. Fields of study include, but are not limited to: nursing, phlebotomy, and radiologic technology.
Preference will be given to students from Etowah County who demonstrate financial need.
Students must complete the GRMC Volunteer Scholarship application and submit a copy of their transcript. In addition, an essay describing the student’s career goals is required.
Students must also submit two letters of recommendation. These letters may be from a principal, teacher, counselor, pastor, or any adult who can attest to the student’s character. Letters may be mailed separately from the application packet to 1007 Goodyear Avenue, Gadsden, AL, 35903, Attention: Jenna Mullins, HR Department.
A completed application packet, as well as the letters of recommendation, must be postmarked by April 12, 2019 in order for a student to be considered for the scholarship.
