Goolsby Promoted to COO of Gadsden Regional Medical Center

GADSDEN, ALABAMA— Cliff Goolsby has been promoted to chief operating officer of Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Goolsby was named assistant chief executive officer of the medical center in 2018. Since that time, he has been responsible for many operational activities including evaluating and acquiring new technology platforms to aid in communications, information technology, productivity management, major patient care initiatives, the development of key service lines, and management responsibility for Gadsden Regional ancillary support services.

He demonstrates operational expertise across this institution’s most important service lines and his leadership is valued greatly by our physicians and clinical leaders,” said Justin Bryant, chief executive officer of Gadsden Regional Medical Center. “Cliff understands our passion to provide the highest quality patient experience at the bedside. He is an asset to our physicians and clinical staff and a significant part of our success today and will continue to play an important part in our future success.”
In his new role, Goolsby will be responsible for procedural, ancillary, and clinical support services at Gadsden Regional. He will serve as the operations support link to nursing services working closely with the chief nursing officer and the nursing managers across the Gadsden Regional service lines.
Prior to his ACEO role at Gadsden Regional, Goolsby served as an administrative specialist and assistant administrator. He also is currently the facility compliance officer at Gadsden Regional.
A native of Florala, Alabama, Goolsby graduated from Florala High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012. He also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in health administration from UAB.
Goolsby serves on the on the board of directors for Man Up Gadsden—a non-profit dedicated to the education, prevention and support services for prostate and testicular cancer patients, family, and community members.
